self-directed

A research-led learning community helping online business owners build emotionally intelligent, psychologically grounded brands in the age of AI and algorithm anxiety.

Take the director’s seat in your own social media story.

I’ve been working in social media since I was 20 - what started as a recovery account during my eating disorder became the thing that built my entire career from my uni bedroom. I’ve now worked with brands like Google, Leicester Square, The Hayo’U Method and helped some of the biggest names in the game build their personal brands.

But here’s the truth…

For years, I felt completely burnt out by the online space. I didn’t focus on my own personal brand because I was putting every spare second into client work. My own presence felt performative and no matter how good the results were, I still sometimes felt like I was failing.

I’d spiral after feedback.

Freeze when it was time to price something new. Get stuck in overthinking for weeks.

I’ve spent the last few years studying the psychology behind all of this: how our brains react to criticism, how pricing triggers shame, how identity and visibility are connected. I did my Master’s at LSE - my dissertation was on eating disorders and media perception. All of this lives at the heart of self-directed.

This is for the business owners who feel things deeply.

The ones who want to grow, but without losing themselves in the process.
The ones who know what to post, but still hesitate to show up.
The ones who are tired of copying what works for other people, and are ready to figure out what actually works for them.

If that’s you - you’re in the right place.

Strategy is not enough anymore.

🧠 What is Self-Directed?

  • Post without spiralling.

Use research-backed tools to stop overthinking, navigate visibility fears, and build a confident, repeatable content routine across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.

  • Branding rooted in behaviour.

Decode what makes content convert: parasocial relationships, buyer psychology, storytelling theory, and emotional resonance.

  • Master strategic content with emotional impact.

Learn how to use AI to sound MORE like you, not LESS. Find storytelling templates, and 4-week content builder to write faster, connect deeper, and stay consistent.

  • Raise your prices without panic.

Access frameworks to reprice your offers, overcome “too much” guilt, and understand what really drives perception of value - so you can finally stop undercharging.

  • Build systems that work when you’re tired.

Create a low-energy task bank, set up dopamine-driven workflows, and batch content in ways that support your nervous system (not just your to-do list).

  • Think like a psychologist, act like a strategist.

With weekly live sessions, case studies, research breakdowns and toolkits - from comment reframe scripts to AI prompt banks - Self-Directed teaches you how to show up smarter, not harder.

"Georgia has been really helpful with our community engagement and in delivering compelling content for my podcast over the past few months. It's been a pleasure working with her, and her contributions have made a great impact on our content strategy and community management efforts.”
